Dinner Duty

Chapter 5
I sigh and serve dinner. I sit down in the pure obsidian chairs. Of course, there are perks of making dinner. Such as; making your food the best, and messing up your annoying brother's food purposely. I smirk. I kick Alex in the shins and he kicks right back. I wink at Ocean. Ali's trying to keep from laughing. I can tell Eli and Es are messing around. I try to shoot them a warning, but my Father notices. "Just what. Do you think you're doing?" he asks in their direction. They quickly stop and focus on their food. I smirk again. Emma and her sister are chatting, but my father doesn't seem to mind. Cole's steak and potatoes were much better than mine, I think. I must have said it out loud, because everyone's forks and knives clatter. "Who's steak and potatoes were better?" My father snaps, standing up from the table. "Gor..Gordon's! Gordon is one of the chef's at Hogwarts. We call him Gor or Gord for short." I say quickly. "Nice save" Ocean mouths. "Alright." My father says and slowly sits down. "What about Shef Bob?" Matt asks. "The only thing good about Shef Bob are his tarts!" Ali says. "I must say, his bacon is pretty good too. Don't you think Jules?' Emma says. "I approve of his pancakes." Demon says. I frown. He's always liked Shef Bob's pancakes, and normally he says "I love Shef Bob's pancakes." I miss my older brother. Demon has changed so much. "Is something wrong, darling?" My mother asks me. "No. Nothing, I'm sorry." I say. "Shef Bob's apple tarts are the best!" Julia says. I smirk a little. I finish my food. "May I be excused?" I ask. My father nods, and I leave. I collapse on my bed. I already lost one brother, and now it feels like another is being torn away. I fall asleep.

I'm not up until almost noon. Matt is watching TV on the bed next to me. "Good afternOOOOON!" He says. I laugh. "Your dad went out." He says. "Alright. Gives us a little bit of alone time." I say and kiss him. Soon enough, he's on top of me and we're kissing aggressively. "God, this is a great way to wake up." I say, and he winks. "This reminds me of the time on the Quidditch pitch." He says. I smile. "Yeah, I remember that. It also reminds me of the one time on the train." I say and smirk. He pulls away. "God, don't remind me. I mean, what kind of lie was 'I was helping the conductor unwrap his burrito'?" He asks. "You idiot." I say and playfully shove him. "YOU came up with that lie." I say and laugh. "Ok, fair." he says. "Shall we?" I ask. He nods and we leave. My dad walks in the house. I arch an eyebrow. "We can return home." He says. I'm so happy I have to resist the urge to jump up and down. I put on a straight face, and nod. I walk to my room and pack. A few hours later me, Matt, Jenna and Emma are flying on Lily, going back to Hogwarts
