Dark Days Part 2!
Chapter 10
(I FINALLY got an answer on my wall to write part 2 of this! Thank you Capp!!!)
Tomorrow after visiting the hospital, I tried finding the Lightsunny Squid.
First, I searched the dark and gloomy woods that surrounded my home.
Second. I checked Lantern Hill, the place many people caught the disease, I made sure I dressed in dark colors so the squid wouldn't find me. Dark colors blind the squid, and he could sense it when there's dark colors approaching him. That's why, if he looks at himself, he would die. That's the only way he would die.
Third, which is what I'm doing right now, is finding the home of Lightsunny. She never stayed home much, but there was still always hope she was.
I walked through the mountains, pebbles getting stuck in my cheap shoe. As the daughter of a poor family, we always had to get what was best for us, no matter the pain.
Me age was young to be hiking alone early in the morning, far away from everyone. I was thirteen, but had no choice. My whole family had caught the Darklantern Squid's strange sickness.
So, it was about time someone brave enough had put an end to all of this.
"It's so hot. I could die here in the snow.", I said, after a week of walking. My pet lizard was already half-dead. Good. That meant more food for me. But bad, because then I would be lonely and lost. He was my lucky lizard. I watched it slowly, its breathing beating down every time. And I watched it whither and die in my arms.
"Dont worry, I'm almost there.", I told him, tears slowly coming down.
A few days later, I saw a big lake. I had been traveling for a little over a week. The Squid had to be here!
"Who dares approach my home.", said a dark, raspy voice. At the same time it had a sort of melody in the voice, but still too dark. I made sure to not shoe any expression as The Lightsunny Squid came near.
