Phoenix
Chapter 10
The fiery bath
from which new life comes
emits its suitor.
as large as an eagle
and as red as a flame
the phoenix rises
behold!
simple elegancy and complexity
the beast is strong
its tears are like medicine
feared, as well as revered by men
the phoenix is born, lives and dies
again and again.
