We didn't always have embarrassment. Or at least not so much as we have right now. What happened to those talks with random strangers at their tables. With saying Hi to random people? With messing up with immature things? Embarrassment. When we were little that was understood. But if you did all those things now maybe you had a disease? Oh pity! We have lost part of our personality, of our dreams to embarrassment. You can't cry in public! Everyone knows that. But you want to. That's what you are feeling. What would happen if we showed how we felt. Talked about it. Shared it. We'd be truer. We'd be 20% less fake. If we went up and talked to the person at the cashier like they were a person and not your horrifying nightmare. If we acted silly and everyone else had to deal with it because you are being you. If we sang loudly wherever we wanted. It's possible. It's been done. So why can't we? Embarrassment stops us from asking from being us in the moment. We can live up to about 90 something years. THAT'S IT! SO WHO EFFING CARES IF YOUR NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOR IS WATCHING YOU DANCE. WHO CARES IF YOUR FRIEND IS GIVING YOU A GLARE FOR TALKING SO MUCH. BE YOU. Period.
