Age 5 -11

Chapter 2
AGE 5-7: By the age of five my uncle took me to live in a tree on the outskirts of the Forbidden Forest. I was no longer educated by Gert but he did make visits to me. Instead I spent most of my time with Arber. I made friends with creatures in the woods, I knew what to touch and what not to touch. I knew how to transfigure, mainly by accident but I managed it myself. I would help my uncle to brew and bottle potions. I knew lots of things and I had learnt them all by doing. My uncle was really proud of this and would bring me books and strange objects that we played with or used to “broaden my mind”. I thought it was brilliant.

AGE 7-11: By this time, I had been “found out” I was allowed to wait in the castle basically until it was time for me to start my education properly. This is a shame however it had an amazing upside that I was allowed access to the library and kitchen. I learnt about lots of new things. My uncle decided that I had been doing well so far and I should continue so that when I started at Hogwarts nothing was too new to me and I would get good marks in my subjects. I had to learn to write properly which took some getting used to as I would often have ink spots on my arms. Luckily, I learned how to get rid of those. I basically followed a normal school schedule but had different teachers. For instance, for Astronomy & Divination various Centaurs would guide me around the sky or give me odd phrases. It didn’t mean much then but I wrote it down. For Care of Magical Creatures, I basically followed Hagrid & Charlie. We would feed animals, talk, all sorts. I would listen to stories about the dragons in Romania that Charlie liked. For Herbology I would follow Professor Sprout when she needed help on anything non-dangerous or my uncle said he wanted something for a class. History of Magic was brilliant and I made great friends with Helena Ravenclaw and Sir Nicholas. They always had a lot to say and were very supportive. Maybe I didn’t need it but I needed to control my transfiguration skills. This is where a student named Nymphadora Tonks came to help. She was a metamorphmagus and along with control she showed me how to relax and have fun. Others who showed me how to have fun were Peeves and the Weasleys. This basically eased the load on my uncle and we seemed to do less together. The things we did do though were his best subjects. Potions, defence against the dark arts and occlumency.
