Some dumb AU where the characters from BNHA are in Moana, or you can think of it as a school play. Whatever rocks your boat. Also, this has BakuDeku in it. So NO HATING!! Also art is not mine, it's just what I based it off of :P

Izuku and Toshi run up to the healers building, hoping to get there fast enough. They burst in and walk to Torino, who’s lying on the ground, covered in blankets.
“Father…” Toshi whispered, leaning down. He looks at his wife, and they stand up and talk to the villagers. Izuku looks at Torino.
“Go” he mouths. “Grappa…” he says, leaning forward. “Go.” He repeats. Izuku pulls back.
“Not now. I can’t.”
“You must. The ocean chose you. Follow the fish hook.” As he spoke, he unclasped his necklace. He placed the heart back into the locket, pressing it into Izuku’s hands.
“Grandpa…”
“And when you find Katsuki, you grab him by the ear. You say… I am Izuku of Motunui. You will board my boat, sail across the sea, and restore the heart of Shoto.”
“I...I can’t leave you.”
“There is nowhere you could go that I wouldn’t be with you. Go.” He whispers, and Izuku steps back, clutching the necklace. He puts it on, and runs out the building.
"There’s a line where the sky meets the sea and it calls me
But no one knows how far it goes"
He runs to his house, where he starts packing. He freezes when he notices his mother watching him. She kneels down and helps him, handing him the wrap that he only wore on formal ceremonies. It was supposed to commemorate his becoming chief.
"All the time wondering where I need to be is behind me"
He took it and hugged her. He wrapped it around his waist, tucking it into his pants band, grabbing his bag and running back to the cave.
"I’m on my own, to worlds unknown"
Once he’s inside, he picks the boat who’s sail pattern matches the heart.
"Every turn I take, every trail I track
Is a choice I make, now I can’t turn back
From the great unknown, where I go alone, where I long to be"
Izuku pushes the boat into the water, and it sails through the waterfall. He shakes his wet hair out of his eyes and turns back to the village. A wind rustles the trees, and a blue light spreads out.
"See her light up the night in the sea, she calls me
And yes I know, that I can go"
A glowing blue manta ray spreads under Izuku, and he regains confidence, continuing on his journey.
"There’s a moon in the sky and the wind is behind me
Soon I’ll know, how far I’ll go"
