The kind of magic that has at least a hint of Dark Magic are jinxes, hexes, and curses. Jinxes cause immediate but temporary effects or minor damage, hexes cause high or low damage depending on the hex or effects for longer periods, and curses are definitely negative and mostly Dark and are usually permanent or long-lasting with a majority of severe effects or damage.
