"Parseltongue: A Guide”: Book Review

Link of book: https://www.hogwartsishere.com/library/book/316/

Reads: 9,515 Reads

Author: [no name]

Anyone interested in studying the snake language (parseltongue), this book is a must! From letters to words this book contains everything about parseltongue. This is an amazing book for those who love snakes and parseltongue. It tells us the history of parseltongue and, who the author believe, the creator of the snake language. According to her/his book the language has many varieties. I didn’t believe this first, but I had to believe it. The author also tells us the different alphabets used in the fascinating language. Did you know that there are 20 vowels and 27 consonant sound making a total of 47 letters in parseltongue, kinda hard to believe, right? Hope you guys check it out.

Percy Jackson Characters as Harry Potter Characters

While reading Percy Jackson, I always felt there was some similarity between the series and Harry Potter. Now, I’ve figured it out, and I would love to share it with you! I have matched the PJO and HOO (Heroes of Olympus) characters to the the HP ones. I hope you enjoy:

Percy Jackson: always in the spotlight, saving people and titled ‘Hero’ in some places, Jackson is quite similar to our own- Harry Potter!

Annabeth Chase: Brains, cleverness, books. Sound familiar? Of course it does! I’d say Annabeth would get along really well with our intelligent- Hermione Granger!

Grover: Loves food and friends as company, Grover would really like someone’s appetite at Hogwarts- Ron Weasley!

Piper McLean: Beautiful by nature and fierce at the same time, a little weird but smart. Piper seems quite similar to- Luna Lovegood!

Jason Grace: Handsome and brave but still not my type. A goody-two-shoes, Jason would probably be like- Cedric Diggory!

Leo Valdez: Such a fun dude but cares for his friends, Leo’s buddy at Hogwarts would probably be- Sirius Black!

Hazel Levesque: Pretty, smart and a great warrior, Hazel’s personality completely matches with- Ginny Weasley!

Frank Zhang: Innocent but courageous, Frank would sacrifice himself to save a friend. He would get along pretty well with- Neville Longbottom!

Hogwarts House Representative Candidates: Part 1, Callie Granger

Callie Granger is one of the several students applying to become a House representative. As you may have guessed, Callie is a Gryffindor and applying to become the Gryffindor House representative. I interviewed Callie to see what she would do if she got the title.

My first question to Callie was: Who do you think should win? Granger answered, "I do not really know. Everyone has a chance to win. Of course, I would like it to be me, like everyone else who wants it to be themselves. But I think everyone wins, no matter who gets elected."

My second question to Granger was: If you were elected, how would you make HiH a better place? "I would make sure to satisfy everyone, student and teachers, as well as Madam the Director. I will always be there for those who need someone, even if I am not elected. I would do my best to improve HiH even more than it already has. I will do everything I can to satisfy others." Granger replied.

The last question (and a main highlighter) was: How would you cope with conflict and situations? Callie replied, "For conflicts, I would ask the people concerned to explain their dispute to me. Then I find a solution fairly quickly and I help them to resolve the conflict. I have experience, because on HiH, I have already resolved conflicts and at my school, when there is a conflict someone comes to pick me up to help them settle it. For situations, I would listen carefully to the instructions, and I will not hesitate to ask questions of the teachers if I do not understand. I would give the best of myself for everything that happens on and beyond HiH."

Fun Fact

Here’s your daily fun fact for today! Enjoy! Remember that Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s (Sorcerer’s) Stone, when the first years have their first quidditch lesson, Neville accidentally kicks off the ground too quickly and is jerked around by his broomstick! Well, when Neville is being jerked around by his broomstick and flying everywhere is in fact computer generated because it was too dangerous to attempt those tricks in real life!!
