Meanwhile, James had found Winifred and now they were trying to find their way back to Lilly and Lydia. James had found Winifred by a wrecked building. Luckily, they had also found some stale bread and also apples. A plum tree had been near the building, so they had picked some of those fresh ripe plums as well.
"What if we never find our way back to them?" Winifred groaned. "This forest is huge!"
"Yeah, I know! But don't give up yet!" James said, but he was too, uncertain that they would find their way back.
Winfred sighed, and she walked slowly, way behind James.
"Hurry up!" he said impatiently.
