BOBA POPS!!!
Chapter 1
Ok, so I know what you're thinking. Boba pops are a weird thing to write a book about... But.... as all people say...
FOOD BRINGS PEOPLE TOGETHER (even though we can't really be together). So, we HAVE to write a book about food, (dessert!) and what better food than BOBA POPS!!
OMG BOBA POPS ARE SOOOOOO GOOD. If you have not tried one, you NEED to try one NOW!!!
If you don't know what boba pops are, they're wonderful bites of utter deliciousness. The popsicle tastes more like ice cream that a popsicle, and there is a brown sugar coating on the outside. There are a bunch of boba balls on the inside of the boba pop, and the amazing thing is that the boba is still chewy, or "QQ" as Asians call it.
And if you don't know what boba itself is, boba balls are made of tapioca flour/starch and are brownish black. They are QQ, or chewy and usually go in tea drinks.
The boba popsicle's drink equivalent would be just brown sugar glaze coating the inside of a cup, with boba at the bottom, with ice, and milk. This is so good, you don't even need tea to eat boba with something, just milk and the brown sugar syrup that is already with the boba.
I have made boba before, well sorta, and it isn't that hard, but it takes a long time to roll out all the boba balls, so if you have more people, rolling the balls goes faster.
As you can see from the picture on the cover of this book, boba pops look SO GOOD and they taste JUST AS AMAZING!
Anyways, boba pops are so refreshing and perfect in summer on a hot day! It is such a great mouthfeel and a wonderful sensation of sweet ice cream (it's a popsicle but it tastes and feels like ice cream!), chewy boba, and slightly crunchy (because it's sorta hardened) brown sugar coating.
I usually get my boba popsicles at 99 Ranch Market (IDK if you know what that is... ) I don't know any other places that sell boba pops. You could also make your own boba pops but it is a lot of work... :) lol.
Well, overall, just please try a boba pop at least once in your life! They're pretty pricy though.. but sooooo worth it!
