I woke up to hear the pounding of a very odd sound. Was my brother throwing bouncy balls on my door again? I glanced at my clock. 5:30! No. my brother wouldn't wake up this early, especially on a weekend. I rubbed my eyes sleepily and hoped it wouldn’t be raining.

Ping… pong… bing… bong…

UGH! THAT NOISE! I thought, cursing in my head.

I started toward the window, where my fan was located. But when I got near the window, I realized it was raining, and that noise was coming from the rain!

Wait… rain? Those aren’t raindrops, that’s…

“JELLY?!” I said incredulously.

“No no no no no no… this can’t be happening… noooo way… I closed my eyes and opened them again.
And there it was. Tiny, colorful, raindrop sized jelly bits, as big as a fingernail, pinging and sliding off my bedroom window.

On one side of my head, I was so ecstatic, and my brain was screaming, THAT’S SO COOL!!!! THIS IS A ONE IN A LIFETIME CHANCE!!!! , but on the other side, I was thinking, UGH! JELLY! IT TASTED BAD, LOOKS BAD, SMELLS BAD… IT’S JUST… BAD!
