Hogwarts is Here: Open Professor Applications
Now, for a little bit of information. Hogwarts is Here needs a History of Magic professor and a Potions professor. The vacancy for History of Magic professor has been free since 2017, the other became free quite recently. History of Magic has been handled until now by Headmistress Oshiro and by the PAs. Potions are being handled by Professor Penrose. We ask those who are interested to go to the Newsroom and search for the article about it. Those who have the most experience are more likely to be accepted. Please think carefully about this decision, as Headmistress Oshiro says “it will require time, hard work, and dedication.”
HiH Special Features/Tricks
Hogwarts is Here is all your favorite Harry Potter website, but did you know that there are a few special features/tricks that work on HiH? Well, now you do, and I am going to tell them to you!
The first one is Harry Potter emoji. Ever wish there were emojis on Hogwarts is Here. Well, actually, there are! If you do the :) face when you are making a post or sending a message after you make the post or send the message, the :) should turn into a cute Harry Potter face and when you hover your cursor over the emoji, the face gets bigger. Here is the emoji:
The second one is the scar emoji. Just type [scar] when you are posting or messaging, and it should turn into a scar emoji in the color of your house. Like the Harry Potter emoji, when you hover your cursor over the scar, it gets bigger!
The third and fourth special features are the Lumos and Nox. If you simply type Lumos or nox in a post or a message, the letters will become purple and have a small purple scar at the right-top of the word. If you or someone else clicks on the word Lumos that you put, their screen will go white, like a light when you do the spell Lumos, and illuminate your wand. If you do nox, and someone presses on nox, their screen goes black, just as your wand would extinguish the light when you say Nox.
