Chapter 5
"Where are we going, exactly?", Jack asked McGonagall as both of them raced towards the Castle entrance. "To check the castle defences.", she replied, panting. "You really think we have to do that? Who would be able to break into Hogwarts?", he chuckled. But that when it came to him. "You're not thinking-", he began, but was interrupted by McGonagall."Yes, I do think that Voldemort is back.", she said, giving him a look. "Do not underestimate anyone.", she advised, and they walked towards the grounds, where the other professors were waiting. McGonagall drew her wand, pointing it towards the sky, and everyone began muttering protective spells. Everyone except Jack. He saw something from the corner of his eye, and was staring at it. A shadowy figure, blending in with the darkness of the forest like a hunting Nundu. He walked closer, but stopped when he noticed something. The water, which was supposed to be rain, was red. Deep red. Jack pressed his palm on the grass and looked at the liquid. "Blood.", the thought ran through his head, and that second, he stumbled back. McGonagall also looked shocked, as she had checked the grass at the same time. "Ne-Neville. Put the castle on full lockdown. No one goes out, and no one gets in.", she said, her voice breaking.
