The 2,000 Anniversary Ball
Chapter 7
Ever since Zac and I made up, the only thing we could talk about was the Anniversary Ball. It was coming up this Saturday and I still didn't know what I was going to wear. Lizzy was already going to wear a hot pink, knee-length dress. She was beautiful!
By the night of the Ball, I finally knew what I was going to wear. I got into a floor-length, lavender, Overskirt. Zac got into his nice dress robes and we walked down to the Ball together with Lizzy and Ryan. On the way down, one of the staircases changed while we were on it, so we had to take a detour and we got there a few minutes late.
The ball took place in the Great Hall, so instead of tables, it was replaced with I giant dance floor and some food/drink tables. Zac and I went straight to the food table while Lizzy and Ryan went to the dance floor. They looked good dancing together, so I asked Zac if he wanted to dance. He said sure. So we walked out to the floor and danced along with the music.
The ball was amazing and I had so much fun hanging out with Zac and Lizzy all night. When I was drinking punch with Zac, I noticed someone sitting in the corner with a scowl on her face. I asked Zac, "Why is Cassie here?!" Zac looked over to where I was pointing. "What?! I thought she was expelled!" he said. "I know!" I answered back.
I saw Professor Streng talking to Headmistress Mcgonagall so I motioned Zac over and we pretended to get more punch. We actually eavesdropped on them. We heard, "--don't care Professor! She was expelled! She isn't allowed to be here!" "Sorry Headmistress, but her mother has work so she had to come! I don't trust her home alone after what she did to that poor student, Marietta!" Professor Streng said. "OK, fine! But only for the Ball! She has to go home straight after!" Headmistress Mcgonagall demanded.\
Zac and I went back to Lizzy and told her why Cassie was here. Even though we were happy that she was gone, she could still tell her "goonies" to do her bidding. In fact, she was talking to Violeta right now pointing and looking at us. So Zac, Lizzy, Ryan, and I went to get some food.
After the ball, we went to hang out in the common room. Ryan joined us this time. We talked and talked until around midnight. Then Lizzy and I went off to bed in the girl's dormitory and Zac and Ryan went to the boy's dormitory.
