Cassie's Crew
Chapter 9
"Detention!" Professor Mishan said to me. "What!?" I asked, "Why?" "Someone tipped me off that you've been sneaking out of the castle and going down to the Forest without permission," Professor said. I looked around to see who had done it. Lizzy and Zac gave me quizzical looks. I looked straight to the Slytherins. We have Defense Against The Dark Arts with them.
I saw a mean group of girls led by Cassie Streng giggling and pointing at me. Now I know who snitched on me. "Marietta! Pay attention. You are to have detention in here with me for the rest of the week. I plan on seeing you at 8:30 sharp tonight. And tomorrow. Until Friday night. Got it?" she snapped. "Yes Professor," I said defeated.
At 7:00 that evening, after dinner, I told Zac and Lizzy that I got detention. "And I have to be there at 8:30 each night until Friday." "This is all my fault Mari," Zac said, "I'm the one who tells you to come to the Forest!" "Zac, the only reason Cassie sold Mari out is because she hates her for dating you. She also likes you," Lizzy pointed out. "Yeah Zac, it's not your fault," I told him. Then I gave him a short kiss.
Around 8:15, I set off for Professor Mishan's classroom. When I got there, Professor Mishan told me I would be writing lines. She said, "You will write, 'I shall not sneak away without permission' 100 times. Then you may go to bed." 100 writings later, I was released and I started to walk to my dorm.
Suddenly, one of Cassie's goonies jumped out from behind a statue. She was big and mean. Without me knowing, another goonie jumped out behind me. She grabbed me by the arms and pinned them behind my back. The other goonie, I think her name is Violeta, she stood guard.
Cassie came strolling around a corner and walked towards me. "Someone's coming!" Violeta whispered. Cassie's goonie dragged me into an empty classroom with her hand over my mouth. Cassie and Violeta followed. Cassie locked the door and said, "Incarcerous!" Thick rope conjures out of thin air and ties me up. I can't move. The unknown goonie puts a piece of duct-tape over my mouth. Now I can't make a sound.
Cassie walks up to me as the goonie holds me still. "This'll teach you to stay away from Zac!" she whispers. Then she grabs my wand from my pocket, and puts it in her pocket. Violeta takes me from the goonie and hangs one of my rope loops on a hook on the wall. So now I'm hanging 3 feet from the ground. Cassie steps back over to me and slaps me across my face. Her hand leaves a sting on my face. She steps out the door and says, "Colloportus. Muffliato." Then I'm left alone in a locked room.
