The Hogwarts Classes
Chapter 4
I felt like I was floating, away and away. But then I find myself on a broomstick. I'm wearing Gryffindor colors and I hear Zac yell, "Find the Snitch!" But it sounds distant. Then, I'm wearing a prefect badge and holding the House Cup. My dream changes once again. I'm standing by the lake in the candlelight holding Zac's hand. Then I turn towards him and he starts to lean in. "Marietta?" I start to lean in too. "Marietta!?" Our lips are about to touch... "MARIETTA!"
"What?" I say with my eyes full of sleep. "Wake up!" Lizzy said. "I just had a dream," I told her. Then, I said everything that happened in my dream. "Oh. Oooooh, Marietta's got the eyes for Zac! Ooooooh!" Lizzy teased. "Shhh! Why don't you?" I asked. "I have a boyfriend. But he's a muggle and he probably doesn't want to date a witch," she answered sadly, "So I told him I was only going to boarding school."
She looked like she didn't want to talk about it, so I didn't pry. We walked down to the common room and picked up our class course schedule from the notice board. We had Herbology first thing today. I saw Zac talking with some guy I recognized from the Sorting Ceremony. When Zac saw Lizzy and I, he walked over to us and asked us (mainly me) if we wanted to sit with him at breakfast. I blushed and Lizzy and I said sure at the same time.
We walked to the Great Hall and Lizzy purposely sat across from me so that Zac could sit next to me. I gave her a look and started eating the food that was already on the table. It was delicious and all three of us started to talk about the upcoming Quidditch try-outs tomorrow, Saturday. I really wanted to be the seeker.
After breakfast, all the Gryffindors walked down to the greenhouses on the grounds of Hogwarts. Our teacher, Professor Longbottom, told us about all the safety rules in the greenhouses. We saw a bunch of plants but Professor Longbottom didn't do anything with the plants today. But he did give out a quiz on safety in the greenhouses. We turned them in before the end of class, and went up the the castle for History of Magic. Professor Binns was nothing like I expected. He was a ghost! The class was really boring and we weren't given any homework.
We had Potions next. Professor Malfoy was pale and blonde. We weren't given any homework in this class either, because all we talked about was class expectations and safety. Finally, we were done once Potions got over. Zac, Lizzy, and I went to the Great Hall for dinner.
We went back to the common room and talked about Quidditch again. Lizzy had a Nimbus 2000, and Zac also had a Nimbus 2000. They were both surprised to hear about my Firebolt. I told them that my family is wealthy because of my dad. My dad found the Sorceror's Stone before it was destroyed and turned many things to gold, and my mom is the Minister of Magic.
Around 9:30, we all decided to go to bed, so Lizzy and I went to the girls' dormitories while Zac went to the boys'. I dreamed the exact same dream as last night, but no one woke me up at the end. It was amazing.
