Hogwarts and All About Defense Against the Dark Arts
Chapter 5
Annabeth: Oh, so yeah, we do a lot of learning too. Mostly about fighting.
Hermione: Yeah, we have DADA.
Grover: What??? Do you learn about dads or something?
Hermione: What? NO!!! DADA stands for Defense Against the Dark Arts.
Percy: Oh, that makes sense now.
Harry: Honestly, we think the spot for the DADA teacher is cursed or something… Let’s count the facts. So, Quirrell died...
Ron: Lockhart turned out to be a bloody snobby memory stealing fraud…
Harry: Professor Lupin… he was the only DADA teacher we actually learned something from… he resigned because of the whole werewolf thing. Mad-eye Moody… well he was a mass killer in disguise… and then there was the worst one of all, Umbridge.
Hermione: Ugh, Umbridge…
Ron: It wasn’t until Umbridge that Hermione ACTUALLY BROKE THE RULES!!! We formed the DA, Dumbledore’s Army.
Hermione: That’s where Harry taught other students defense against the dark arts himself. Because Umbridge wasn’t teaching us ANYTHING. Honestly Umbridge could've been worse than Voldemort...
Annabeth: Wow, that’s what I call a rebellion!
Percy: I was going to ask who Dumbledore is but I thought I better not... hehe....
Ron: Okay, then there was Snape… And then that bloody Carrow guy. Lucky I wasn’t there when he was teaching! Also, before we all fall asleep talking about SCHOOL, of all things… Let’s change the subject!
