Young Snape

Chapter 3
Snape was a kid who was brought up the wrong way. He was never mistreated as a kid, but his parents were always fighting, and he got teased at school. His lack of money didn't help, and neither did the fact that he was in Slytherin.

Snape's life before Hogwarts:
Snape was brought up in a Muggle village called Spinners End. His mom was a witch named Eileen Prince, and his dad was a Muggle who went by the name of Tobias Snape. They did not always get along, and right before Severus went off to Hogwarts, Tobias packed his bags and left. This was not a surprise to Snape, but it still proved to be difficult, especially since he never got to say goodbye.

Right before he left, he met a girl that would direct his life forever: Lily Evans. She was a pretty girl, born of Muggle parents, and a Gryfindor. Snape had watched her, and figured out that she was a witch. When he had finally convinced her she was telling the truth, they became best friends, and did everything together.

Snape's life at Hogwarts:
The first blow came when he was sorted in to Slytherin, and she was sorted in to Gryfindor. Two houses known to hate each other. The second blow came when James Potter started to fancy her, and the third blow came, when he became friends with dark wizards. Despite their differences, Severus and Lily stayed best friends. When they got sorted into separate houses, they patched it up, and stayed together. When the second blow hit, Snape was jealous, but sucked it up, and took it all in. James had always been mean to Snape, and saying anything about it, would just make the bullying increase.

The third blow came when Snape became friends with dark wizards. They were always his friends, but he had lately been joining in on the "fun" they did to other students. Lily talked it out with him, and it played out fine. Little did they know that their friendship was wrapping up (See the next chapter).
