Chapter 5
I wake up to Natalie screaming in my face. "Wake up! Wake up! Wake up!!! Come on!!!! Get dressed! Brush your teeth! Go downstairs!" I slowly get out of my bed. "What was that about?" "We are both getting adopted!!! Well, by different people, but still!!" That was something I should of been happy about, but, I wasn't. Natalie and I had really bonded over the last month, and only once had I heard the voices. What if when we are apart we suddenly hear the voices again? I feel safer with her, Like it is better because we can both hear them. "Alright, alright" I say, and quickly get ready.
When we get downstars, Mrs.Ren is waiting for us. "Brooklyn, you will be going home with Mrs. Frako, and Natalie, you will be getting adopted by Mr. and Mrs. Johnsen. I'll take your bags, you get to meeting your new parents. Natalie, Mr. and Mrs. Johnsen are waiting in that room." She points to a brown door with brown handles on it. "Brooklyn, you will be going in there." She points to a pink door with flowers all around it, and pink streamers, and pink balloons, and pink handles. PINK!!!!!
I walk into the room after saying a sad goodbye to Natalie, and I am going to faint. Everything in the room is pink. Pink lights, pink chairs, pink stools, pink Everything! Even the woman was pink! She had on pink shoes, a pink dress, pink earrings, a pink coat, pink necklace, and a pink ring! Her name should be Mrs.Pinky!
"Hello dear," She says. "I am Mrs. Patrisha Pink Frako, but you can call me Pat for short." "Ummm.... ok. Hi Pat, I am Brooklyn, but you can call me brook for short." I wink. "Wonderful,I just love children. Now, to come home with me, you will need to do 3 things." "What?" "You will need to brush your hair every morning, be kind to my puppies, Vicky and Victoria, and listen to my every word." "Ok!"
I wish I could talk to natalie right now. We are sitting in a car, driving to the B&B Mrs.Frank-.............. Pat owns. She supposedly likes old music, because she won't stop singing it.
Finally, we get to a, you guessed it, PINK house. I could hear 2 dogs barking.
