Chapter 10
George smiled down at me. "You said that you wanted to see me again, so here I am." I said, "The place looks really different, it looks good!" I continued happily, "And as for getting in trouble, I don't care. I've been feeling reckless ever since Ron cheated on me." I sat down on a chair and George sat down beside me. "So, you're feeling a bit better about it then? I mean, you seem to be talking about it more freely." He asked me. I nodded. "I think I'm going to just go with my instinct from now on. I had a feeling that it wouldn't work out, but I went against my gut." I said looking around. "Well, good. There're much better guys out there." George said watching me, "These chairs are uncomfortable, I have a couch upstairs. We can sit up there instead." He suggested. I nodded eagerly.
I had started to see George in a new light. Before he had been Ron's slightly annoying, trouble-making brother, Now, I didn't associate him with Ron, I didn't associate any of the Weasley's with Ron. They had all taken my side in the situation, not Ron's. Of course they shouldn't have taken his side! He made a terrible mistake. Well, except that it wasn't a mistake. It would be hard to cheat on someone on accident. But I didn't mind anymore. My heart had set itself on someone else. I could feel it, but it wouldn't tell me who it was.
I followed George upstairs and we sat down on his squishy couch. We sat talking for hours, thinking of clever tricks to play on Ron, and ways to get him back. "We can't do anything that involves punching." I said after George suggested a punching telescope, "He's already been punched by Harry, Ginny and me. We've got to think of something new." George smirked.
I looked at the clock and saw that it was 12:14. "I need to go! It's late!" I said loudly, causing George to jump. Without thinking I leaned over and kissed George. My heart had told me who it was set on. I stood up quickly and pulled Harry's invisibility cloak over me. "See you later." George said, staring at a spot a couple of feet away from me. He looked surprised, but happy.
