Antonin Dolohov was born at some point prior to 1950. He became one of the earliest known followers of Tom Riddle, serving him while he was abroad seeking followers. He was among the Death Eaters who travelled to Hogsmeade, along with Nott, Rosier, and Mulciber, when Voldemort attempted to take the position of Defence Against the Dark Arts Professor at Hogwarts, ostensibly to "wish him luck".
