Chapter 10
Draco drew in her angelic features, from her wavy brown hair to her chocolate orbs, moving down her body. He never thought he would've even give a second glance to the muggle-born witch and yet here he was now, staring at her like he like her. Wait. Draco shook his head quickly as if to clear it. Did he like her? Was that why he was staring at her? No, he was wrong, wasn't he? He thought all these thoughts to himself and looked up again.

Draco shifted his grey eyes slightly to the right and saw Weaslette looking at Granger with a smirk on her face and then looked back at Granger who was also, and still, staring at him. With a sinking feeling, he realized that the she-Weasel had caught Granger red-handed looking at him and might think that.... she liked him?

"Oh Salazar, no!" Draco spoke aloud, throwing his hands up. Blaise looked over at him with a puzzled look on his face. "What in Salazar's name?" he said, annoyed. Draco looked quickly at him and then away. "Um, sorry...." He trailed off, not knowing what to say. Blaise looked at the direction Draco was looking at, or more like, staring at.

"Let me guess, Granger." He confirmed, the side of his lips pulling up in a smirk. "Who me? Like Granger? In your dreams, Zabini. Why would I like a muggle-born like her?" Blaise pulled up in a full-on smirk that could've rival the Slytherin Princes's himself.

"Ah-ha! Who said anything about liking Granger, Drake? I think that was in your dreams," he gloated, pleased that he had gotten the information he hadn't really been looking for. Draco flushed, red tinges weaving around his pale face. Blaise's smirk grew. "Well, well, well, guess who has a crush on Granger." He slowly shook his head. "Never in a million years of Salazar would I believe that."

Draco narrowed his grey eyes, glaring at his mate. "I do not like Granger! I would never like someone like her!" he hissed. Blaise yawned dramatically. "Right, not even when you mutter things about how Granger's hair looks so soft and her eyes like chocolate that could, ahem, melt someone's heart like you, and you wouldn't like her when you mention how her waist is so petite and she seems so fragile and delicate like she could break easily."

Draco's face must seem like a tomato by now. Without thinking, he blurted,,"How did you know I said those things?" Too late could he shut his mouth; Blaise's smirk grew even bigger each passing second. "You've just confirmed it all, mate. No need to say more." He winked at the red Draco who was clearly fuming, and looked over to the Gryffindor table. "You know, she's actually not that bad although her clothes could use some work," he voiced. Draco groaned. "I hate you Zabini." "You know you love me," was the other beaming Slytherin's answer.

Ginny, on the other hand, was grilling Hermione with endless questions. Hermione, embarrassed having being caught at looking, or staring as Ginny put it, was hiding her face in her arms and refusing to answer the waterfall of questions pouring down on her.
