Chapter 1
When Harry broke the rules:
‘You’re not allowed to do magic outside school.’ (said Uncle Vernon)
‘Yeah? Try me.’ (said Harry)

When Harry gave a review of one of his former DADA teachers to Umbridge:
‘Yeah, Quirrell was a great teacher. There was just that minor drawback of him having Lord Voldemort sticking out of the back of his head!’

When Harry made up a nickname at the last second:
‘This is your copy of Advanced Potion-Making, is it, Potter?’
‘Yes,’ said Harry firmly.
‘Then why,’ asked Snape, ‘does it have the name ‘Roonil Wazlib’ written inside the front cover?’
Harry’s heart missed a beat.
‘That’s my nickname,’ he said.’

When Harry was prepared to use his heroic reputation for romance:
‘She’s only interested in you because she thinks you’re the Chosen One.’ (says Hermione)
‘But I am the Chosen One.’ (says Harry)

Harry's way of ending a conversation with Rita Skeeter:
“Congratulations, Harry!” she said, beaming at him. “I wonder if you could give me a quick word?”
“Yeah, you can have a word,” said Harry savagely. “Good-bye.”

A conversation with Malfoy:
Sure you can manage that broom, Potter?” said a cold, drawling voice.
Draco Malfoy had arrived for a closer look, Crabbe and Goyle right behind him.
“Yeah, reckon so,” said Harry casually.
“Got plenty of special features, hasn’t it?” said Malfoy, eyes glittering maliciously. “Shame it doesn’t come with a parachute – in case you get too near a dementor.”
Crabbe and Goyle sniggered.
“Pity you can’t attach an extra arm to yours, Malfoy,” said Harry. “Then it could catch the Snitch for you.”
The Gryffindor team laughed loudly. Malfoy’s pale eyes narrowed, and he stalked away.
