She was furious about the treatment of House-Elves and Goblins, and started S.P.E.W., the Society for the Promotion of Elfish Welfare, because she hated the way that they were essentially slaves. She was kind to bad-tempered House-Elves like Kreacher. She really cared about the treatment of House-Elves.
