Chapter 5
Yesterday I mostly slept. Today, I had adventures! This time, my owner let me into the stone corridor, and I set off to look for Crookshanks. When I found him, we decided to explore. We went downstairs where we found a bunch of barrels. Suddenly, a door opened, and a bunch of kids wearing yellow walked out. We slipped through before they closed the door. We were in a room with a bunch of plants hanging from the ceiling. Suddenly, we heard a friendly meow. "Hello!" Two cats were blinking at us from a chair. They appeared to be sisters. "We're Petal and Flower. Who are you?" We introduced ourselves, and asked if they wanted to join us. "OK!" they said. We crept out of the room into the corridor. We then continued to explore, and then found a stone wall, which kids were walking out of. We once again slipped into the room. It was green, and we seemed to be underwater. "What are you doing here?" Said a cold voice. A silver, green-eyed cat slipped out of the shadows. "I said, what are you doing here?" he said coldly. We introduced ourselves, and told him we were exploring. "Well, my name is Silver, and this is my place. Get out!" Hissing, he leaped at us. Crookshanks, Petal, Flower, and I raced for the door. "Thank goodness that was over!" said Petal. I then invited them to come to the blue room. When we got there, it was seemingly empty. We settled down in chairs, and started to talk. Suddenly, there was a rustling sound. "What was that?" said Crookshanks. Suddenly, a cat came out from behind a bookshelf. "Who are you?" He said, wide-eyed. We explained once again who we were. "Oh. Hey, you're that new cat here, right?" he said to me. I replied yes. He said "Well, my name's Eagle, and I live here too. Follow me!" Mystified, we followed him to the bookshelf he had appeared from. "Where are we going?" I said curiously, but he Eagle didn't answer. He slipped behind the bookshelf, and we followed. Behind the bookshelf, there was a hole, which we went through. We then found ourselves in a large room, with pillows, and lots of sleeping places. "This is a hangout place for all of the cats who live at Hogwarts." said Eagle. "All of the common rooms are connected to it through magic. Professor McGonagall set it up for us." There was a lot of cats there. We saw Silver, Mrs. Norris, and a couple of other cats. Deciding I would get to know everyone later, I settled down for a nap.
