Bill opened his eyes, he was in the hospital wing. His head was spinning. Beside Bill sat Oliver, who as soon as he saw that Bill was awake, began signing asking if he was alright, and apologizing for not standing up to he Raven with him.
"It's okay Oliver, I told you not to stand up to the Raven," Bill said. "And yeah I'm okay," Bill told Oliver, this calmed Oliver down. Bill noticed across the room Ellie sat on a bed, holding her wrist.
"She cut her hair," Bill said surprised, for Ellie's long blond hair was now short, just a little longer then her chin. Ellie noticed that Bill was looking at her and waved with her hand that was originally holding her wrist. Oliver signed saying that Ellie came to the hospital wing with a broken wrist, but Madam Pomfrey was busy with other people so she hasn't had a chance to help Ellie.
Madam Pomfrey approached Ellie and with a wave of her wand Ellie's wrist wasn't broken anymore. Ellie walked over to where Bill and Oliver were.
"Hi Bill, how are you?" Ellie asked, while signing her words so that Oliver wouldn't have to read lips.
"Fine," Bill said sitting up. Immediately the world spun and pain shot threw his head.
"How long have I been out for?" Bill asked while Ellie signed his words.
"A little under an hour," Ellie said rather calmly.
"Ellie, you cut your hair," Bill said.
"Oh! Yeah I did!" Ellie said. She refused to look and Bill or Oliver while she said this.

Over the next few days, word had spread about how Bill had stood up to a bully, and everyone forgot about how he tripped on the first day. Instead of Bill being the target for bullies someone else entirely, became the target.
One morning, Oliver, Ellie and Bill were having breakfast when the Tonkes girl walked up to them and thanked Bill.
"Thank you,"
"Oh your welcome. What's your name again?" Bill asked.
"I don't like my name. Call me Tonkes," Tonkes said.
"Okay Tonkes," Bill responded.
Tonkes became a friend of Ellie, Oliver, and Bill. But that is not were the other half of this chapters story lies.

Bill and Oliver were playing a game of hangman when Ellie slipped away. Nobody saw (Except maybe Dumbledore) Ellie slipped into the shadows and down the hallway, her now short blond hair batting against her neck. Ellie raced down the stair case, she was headed to the great lake. The lake calmed her. Ellie had seen that Holly Hiker, Alex Ameral, and Phoebe Falem starring with very mean looks form the Slytherin table that morning and Ellie knew she had to get out of there or else Bill and Oliver would notice something. Ellie dashed threw students heading to the great hall, past Mrs. Norris, past Hagrid's hut and over to the lake.
"Well, well funny finding you here," Ellie knew who it was the Hufflepuff girls had followed her. Ellie turned to see Holly Hiker, Alex Ameral and Phoebe Falem.
"What do you want?" Ellie asked.
"You know what," Said Holly. The girls approached, Ellie like she was an animal to catch.

"Come on!" Bill exclaimed, he had lost Hangman to Oliver again. Oliver's wide smile changed as he looked past Bill.
'Ellie,' Oliver signed. Ellie was no longer sitting beside Bill. She was gone.
"Odd," Bill said. 'Come' Bill signed, as he got up from the table, Oliver followed.
They went over to the great hall windows, they looked out looking for a clue. Oliver pointed down to the lake, where someone who there was no mistake was Ellie. There were also three Slytherin girl's. Ellie appeared frightened.
'Come' Oliver signed. The boys dashed out of the great hall, and down to the lake. When the boys reached Ellie and the Slytherin girls they hid behind a rock. One girl began to talk.
"Oh look Gryffindor Ellie River, scared!" One girl teased.
"Oh look at her hair! You did a fine job Holly!" Another screeched. Ellie began to walk away but they had her cornered the only option was into the lake, but that option was about to be taken away.
The third girl lunged at Ellie and grabbed her arm. Ellie reached for her wand but the girl, referenced to as Holly, yanked it from her hand, before she could cast anything. The girls pushed Ellie back to one of the rocks.
One girl pulled her wand out and yelled a spell. A rock pushed up from the ground tripping Ellie. Ellie fell to the ground. tears streamed down her face.
Bill had seen enough, he leaped from behind the rock. His wand ready.
"Get away from her and no one gets hurt!" Bill yelled at the girls, it was now that he found out that the girls were taller then him, and probably older too.
"Oh wow, River girl! I didn't know you had a friend! He must pity you since no way you actually have a friend! And It's none other then clumsy Weasley!" The girls laughed. Bill's grip tightened around his wand. Oliver now stood beside Bill his wand outstretched too.
"Oh deaf boy's here too!" Oliver bit his lip, although he couldn't here those words, he knew what the girls were saying. Bill looked over at Ellie. She still sat on the ground but now, she was angry.
"Bullying me is one thing! But bullying my friends is another! Oliver cant control the fact he's deaf! and for crying out loud Bill tripped ages ago! Halloween was three days ago and your still teasing people because of what happened on the first day of school!?" Ellie yelled. She stood up.
"And just so you know those are my true friends! I didn't tell them what has been happening but they cared enough to come looking for me when I slipped away!" Ellie yelled again. The Slytherin's stood frozen. Ellie marched over and snatched her wand back. The girls scowled and walked away.
"Whatever-" One began but never finished her sentence.
When the girls had left Bill turned to Ellie.
"How long have they been bugging you?" Bill asked. Ellie sighed.
"Too long I should have stood up for my self," She said. Oliver began signing madly. Ellie watched him sign.
"What is he-" Bill started.
"Shh. Yes they cut my hair, against my will," Ellie said calmly to Oliver.
"Wait they what?!" Bill had thought that Ellie had cut her hair not them.
"There was a fight. It started them insulting me as usual but then it turned physical they managed to cut my hair, and in the fight I broke my wrist," Ellie finished. "Oh and thanks! For helping me find my courage."
