Chapter 1
Amara smiled. “Oh, thank you, Jacob!” , she gushed, and smiled even wider. She gave Jacob a small peck on the cheek that made him blush, and his hand absentmindedly traveled to the spot where she had kissed him. Amara gazed at the necklace that Jacob had gotten her as a birthday present. She lifted he hair out of the way, and handed Jacob the necklace. “Put it on, please.” She asked/said. Jacob did as told, when finished, running a hand through her long, wavy, blonde hair. They had been dating for almost two months, now, and still acted like they were in primary school with crushes on each other. “So you like it?”Jacob asked her, hoping it would be a yes. “Of course I do.” Said Amara, leaning in for a chaste kiss on the lips, as Amara’s older brother, Skylar, walked in, and straight between the two, acting as if he had no idea that he had just done that. They both let out a chuckle, and went their separate ways. That night, as Amara went to bed, she removed the necklace that Jacob had gotten her, and fell into slumber. Nearly one hour later, her eyes opened, though still asleep, glowing a blueish hue, though her eyes were midnight black. She grabbed the necklace, and clipped it around he neck herself, still asleep, and vanished from the room, particles glowing in the shape of her silhouette. Seven miles away, Jacob woke with a start, with the feeling that something bad was happening.
