Chapter 4
Hermione POV
I step inside the Riddle House. The floorboards creak loudly because I step on them, and then I hear, “Are you here?” I understand this voice to belong to Malfoy.
“Yes.” I say, nervousness shining through each word.
“Ah, Gaunt. How are you?” I hear his voice but still do not see him.
“I’m fine, but will you STOP CALLING ME THAT?” I speak/yell. A pause.
“Fine. How are you, Unidentified Woman With No Name?” I have to stifle a chuckle at his remark. I follow the sound if his voice.
It’s coming from a room where Malfoy isn’t. I find the source of the sound, though. A phone... connected to a speaker. “Malfoy!” I scream.
As soon as I pick up the phone, I’m instantly whirled into a large place. ‘Malfoy Manor.’ I remind myself. I find the real Malfoy waiting for me.
“About time you’ve got here, Gaunt.”
