Chapter 3
Hermione POV
“What are you doing here, Malfoy?” I ask.
“I could ask the same thing, Gaunt.” He says.
I take a long, exasperated, breath.
“Thanks, Malfoy, because comparing me to Voldemort or his parents is exactly what I need after pretending I’ve been dead for a week.” I say, annoyed.
“I’m not comparing you to the Dark Lord. I’m simply using your name. It’s a nice name, isn’t it? Gaunt, I mean?” He says in a fake dreamy tone.
“My name is Hermione Granger.” I tell him, once again exasperated.
He takes a deep breath.
“I wouldn’t be to sure of that.”
He hands me a scrap of paper with something scribbled on it.
With that, he left.
I open the paper. It reads,
Hey, Gaunt.
You’re a Pureblood, not a Mudblood. In fact, the Dark Lord’s uncle’s son. I honestly don’t care if this is a big shock for you. Meet me at the Riddle House tonight at 11. Be there.
