The Niffler

Chapter 5
Surprising as it is, Nifflers are typically confused with the ordinary platypus, due to similar features that creates a familiar resemblance. The Niffler is a magical creature that possesses a natural instinct to gather shiny objects - popularly gold. They are ideal treasure-hunters, and they will determinedly ensure they put together large hordes of their rich findings. Physically they do look quite a bit like the average platypus, with similar snouts, limbs, and body size and shape - but, however, they are mentally considerably different, evidently. They are not commonly kept as pets, due to the fact that they would obviously tear the house apart, though they are quite docile.
