There were stairs leading down, and they curved round a corner. Nora crept down them, and when she was at the bottom, there was a big hall. But she didn't go down it, instead she opened some french doors. She couldn't see what room it was, so she decided to risk and turn on the lights. She did, and then realized she was in the lounge. There were fancy gold chairs and sofas, and painting with gold rims were on the walls. Three chandeliers hung from the high ceiling, and a fancy coffee table was in the middle of the room. There were also candles in the corner of the room, and a white brick fireplace, and some more stairs leading up to another hall.
Nora grabbed a big furry coat, which was on on of the chairs, and it would keep her very warm during the coming winter. Then she grabbed two handfuls of chocolate chip cookies, which were on the plate, which was one the coffee table. Nora thought that she should search the kitchen for some more food, but she wanted to do other stuff before she did. The girl crept up the stairs, that went up to that other hall, and then the thief opened a fancy door. Then Nora gasped. She was standing in a bedroom, that had people sleeping in a bed. Nora held her breath, so scared that they might wake up, and call the police about her.
