A commonly asked question about Parseltongue is if you can learn it and he answer is no, you cannot. Parseltongue is an ability that you are born with it is said to be almost impossible to learn it. Tom Riddle is said to be an ancestor of Salzar Slytherin himself. Harry Potter is able to speak Parseltongue because the night Voldemort tried to kill him he put a bit of himself inside of Harry.
