Chapter 13
Lana POV
“Slytherin!”
I was swept with an odd feeling of relief. The room was silent, and despite my, um, shall we say, not great, social skills, I knew why.
Hermione Granger, Muggleborn Gryffindor Princess... as a pureblood Slytherin. If Trelawney predicted this a year ago, I would’ve called her a fraud. Nevertheless, here I am in Slytherin. And... relieved? McGonagall taps my shoulder. “Dear?” I realize I haven’t gotten out of the Sorting Hat chair. I make my way over to the Slytherin table and immediately Pansy comes and sits by me. I find this weird, but then I remember. Nothing’s weird anymore. Now that I’m Lana Zabini. “Listen, Lana, I’m sorry about all that blood purity nonsense it was so immat-” Astoria rushes over and finishes. “-ure. We are sorry, we just.... yeah.” These girls are so fake. “You’re apologizing to me because you just found out I’m a Pureblood! If I was still a boring old Mudblood you’d still be evil as always!” With that I leave the table to the Slytherin dormitories. When I get there I realize I don’t know the password. I slump down on the floor and let tears flow freely from my face.
