The American Ministry for Magic is very much like the British Ministry for Magic. However, the American Minister is always on the American President's Cabinet, though that is kept a secret. The American Minister is Alda Crow, a black haired woman who is best known for her Muggle protection act, designed to Protect both Muggles and Muggle-born witches and wizards, and the fact that she was once leader of the American Wizarding Defense Association.
