Brief Dragon History

Chapter 3
There are many distinguished historical events involving dragons but one of the most presumably well known is in the time of Harry J. Potter, [A.K.A The Boy Who Lived] a well known wizard in our modern magical world, and awed at by his defeat of the Dark Lord [otherwise known as He Who Must Not Be Named, You Know Who, Tom Riddle, or Voldemort]. When Harry Potter participated in the Triwizard Tournament in the year 1994 during his fourth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry the first task was to steal a golden egg from between a dragon's physical protestations. He fought a Hungarian Horntail [see Chapter Four] and managed to succeed in his mission.

Another incident concerning the Common Welsh Green occurred on a beach in 1932. The dragon, undomesticated and wild, descended down to the beach which was full of unsuspecting Muggles. Fortunately a witch [who was later awarded the Order of Merlin First Class for her proceeding actions] hastened to cast one of the largest Mass Memory Charms known.

In 1666, in the year of the Great Fire of London, it was presumed the fire was started due to a Common Welsh Green housed in a basement on Puddling Lane. This assumption is close to confirmation today, and those studying the subject proclaim it definite already.

In 1802 a Norwegian Ridgeback carried off a whale calf, though this is unconfirmed, off the coast of Norway.

A Ukranian Ironbelly took off with a Muggle sailing ship during the year of 1799, but fortunately no Muggles were on it when the incident occurred.

An Antipodean Opaleye recklessly killed several kangeroos in Australia [it had been driven from its home in New Zealand by a female of his species of dragon] during the 1970s, while it searched for a place to live in the new country it obviously found unfamiliar.
