Backstory

Sorted in Ravenclaw; I finally felt some external validation and I could rest knowing that my hard work had in fact paid off. As a muggleborn born to asian parents with high expectations; I have always struggled with mental health issues and low self esteem. Nonetheless; with the introduction to the wizarding world; I can finally be free to explore the creative side whilst still being studious and maintaining the expectations of those around me. The sorting hat stalled on me; deciding whether to place me in Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw; wondering where I would be happier.; for I do not enjoy studying and much rather prefer to take my time and look at the roses - but there is too much I have to do - so many ambitions and projects I need to finish that I cannot just skip it all. Thankfully, due to my age - I was too young to have been in Hogwarts whilst all the drama with You Know Who occurred. To me; I didn't even really know who he was until after he died. I'm currently working on my fantasy novels and still want to engage with the muggle community after graduation so I will work hard on those aspects of my life; magic will just make my life a lot easier and allow me to be so much more creative. I yearn for a timeturner so I could have more time to experience everything; I would use it on lessons and hobbies if I had the chance and be able to learn everything with little to no stress.
