Backstory

I was sorted into Hufflepuff. I am not entirely sure why, only that the hat seemed sure about its selection for me. The sorting hat was barely on my head before it shouted out “Hufflepuff!”. I am a half-blood. My dad is a wizard is my mom is a muggle. I had no idea about wizardry or magic until the letter accepting me into Hogwarts came. Well, I did have some suspicions. I had found some old rather odd books that belonged to my dad and his side of the family and they made me wonder. I didn’t really think anything as exciting as learning about magic would happen in my life though. I had read through the books and found them interesting, but I assumed they were fiction. My parents never knew I found them.
