Backstory

In Slytherin, you can either pretend, do, or be outcasted in the case of Death Eaters in the era of Tom Riddles reign of power over the house, being the heir to the house.

You must either be a pureblood, lie and say you are or be outcasted and live in fear of someone or something trying to kill you (like the Basilisk).

So, as a Muggle-born, the best I can do is act like a Pureblood and verbally and physically 'support' Voldemort as a Death Eater, while, of course, I do not even agree with him.
