Backstory

I come from a long line of witches. My father is muggle born. I was sorted into Hufflepuff without much stalling due to my sunny and helpful nature. I enjoy Herbology and Transfiguration mostly, but also am adept at Potions and love Astronomy. I want to be good at DADA but it's not my best class.
My strengths lie in my loyalty and desire to do what is right. I am a bit afraid of actual conflict though, and not the best person to have in a duel. I am not sure what I want to do out of school; perhaps work for the Daily Prophet.
I love how magic can simplify lives and am endlessly fascinated in learning new spells and seeing if I can make my own. Having a muggle father I have no qualms over sharing magic with muggles; in fact, I think we should be working with them and be out in the open.
I have a cat, Tom. He's a calico that lives in my dorm room.
