Backstory

Born into a Muggle family, magic wasn't something I was familiar with. Unicorns, dragons, flying broomsticks and wizards belonged in fantasy novels and were definitely not part of my future plans - but a girl can dream, right?
Those dreams became very real when I received my Hogwarts letter and while I couldn't have been any happier, my parents were pretty skeptical at first. Naturally, they were worried about me being denied a proper education, yada yada yada… They were wrong, of course, and, being who I am, I like to rub it in their faces from time to time.
Transfiguration is my favourite subject by a mile and I dream of becoming an Animagus one day, even though my Potions skills leave a lot to be desired. Maybe this dream stems from my love for animals and magical creatures in general, and my wish to create a better understanding of these magnificent beasts. Unfortunately, the only pet I'm allowed to keep is a black cat named Oscar... but, as I mentioned before, a girl can dream...
