Backstory
Hi there, I'm Laura Selwyn... yes, of the long line of pure-blood Selwyn's, however, I am truly not like the rest of my family. I practically had to beg the sorting hat to place me in Slytherin so that my parents wouldn't have a fit! You see, I think we all have a little piece of every house within us, I know I sure do. There's nothing wrong with being both smart yet courageous; ambitious yet kind. I plan to get along with everyone, regardless of house designation or what the "rules" of my family may be. In fact, I think befriending and learning from my classmates of all different backgrounds and beliefs will only help make me all the greater of a witch in the end.
