Backstory
I was a hatstall. The day of my sorting, my name was called and the hat set upon my head and the whole hall waited. Minutes passed as the hat deliberated with me, I could hear the whispers begin. Still the hat could not decide. Nearly a perfect fit for both, he said, but which path should I take. How would I know? I was eleven. Finally after seven agonizing minutes, the hat cried out “GRYFFINDOR!” The hat was off my head and I went quickly to the table, my tie and the crest on my robes changed as I went, head held high as applause burst forth.I refused to answer the question that was on everyone's mind and tongue, what other house was I considered for?
