How small they were, yet so beautiful; a contrasting light to the infinite darkness shrouding them. How scarce they are above the city lights, yet plentiful above the untouched countryside. How inconceivably beautiful... unique they are. I never appreciated the uniquity of stars until one of them which I adored burnt out, adding another space for the darkness to permeate. Another empty platter on the table of Earth, never to be filled again.
