Backstory
For a second there I thought my life would go down a very different path... A Hatstall, I almost got sorted into Slytherin! Can you imagine what that would be like? Sure, I read The Prince by Machiavelli when I was 10, and I agreed with him on one or two issues; and okay, maybe I am a little ambitious, but who doesn't like recognition for their worth? Surely my admiration of Merlin wouldn't have anything to do with it, right? Right? Anyways, I could never wear green. I mean, I could, but blue is by far a superior color.Growing up, we moved around a lot. I was born in the United States, but we don't live there anymore. My family is muggle as far back as we know. Muggles, but not fools. As soon as I got the letter, and settled down from the shock, my nerd parents and I made sure we knew exactly what we were getting ourselves into... That's when we learned about the Hogwarts educational system, the Houses, classes, all of it. We were a bit confused as to why I didn't get into Ilvermorny, but who cares - I was a Wizard!
As a Ravenclaw, I am pretty excited to learn about everything, but as someone who grew up a muggle , there are certain types of Witchcraft that hold a certain appeal, like Transfiguration, Charms, DAtDD, and Merlin - you know, the stuff of fairy tales that I never thought could be real... until now.
