Backstory

I'm what my friends at Hogwarts call 'muggle born', so I'm all new to magic. The day I got my Hogwarts letter was probably the best day of my life, but my parents were angry at me. My dad wasn't going to let me come to the school; however, he unfortunately died shortly after I got my letter (it was nothing to do with me, I swear). I managed to get past my mum, but she's very unhappy about me being here. I wonder if she'll write back to me. Anyway, I'm trying not to think about that, because I'm very excited to be here, and I want to stay at the top of the class.
