Backstory

"Up and up Icarus soared, through the soft, moist clouds and out again towards the sun. He was bewitched by a sense of freedom; he beat his wings frantically so that they would carry him higher and higher to heaven itself."

Aspects

My wand is 11 inches, Spruce wood, Unicorn hair core, and brittle.
        Unfortunately, I lost that wand almost immediately (I maintain it disappeared. Nargles, maybe.), much to the upset of my family. Since then, I've been using a family heirloom wand. 10 & 3/4 inches, Walnut, Wampus cat hair core, and surprisingly pliant.

My patronus is... unsure.
         I remember taking the quiz several times and didn't find one that actually fit me. One of them was a rhino, I think. I also have an affinity for cat forms. Unsure I could produce a full-body Patronus anyway.

Clearly, my Hogwarts House is Ravenclaw.
          I remember taking the Pottermore quiz, and I thought that choosing Ravenclaw might mean that I had access to more information in some way, so I started the quiz by trying to pick answers that would get me into the House. About halfway through, I noticed most of my own choices lined up with what I was picking for Ravenclaw, so I finished the quiz using my own choices and still got sorted into it. I feel like that story shows that the Sorting Hat chose correctly. Maybe mention that most Ollivanders get sorted into Ravenclaw as well.

My Ilvermorny House is the Pukwudgie (House of the Heart).
           The single year I was there. During my Gordian Knot ceremony, both statues of Pukwudgie and Horned Serpent reacted (this is the House that most of my Ollivander American family is sorted into), but I chose Pukwudgie in the end. Due to American customs, students wait until after the House sorting to finally be chosen by a wand. Later that week, I lost my first one.

Birthday! I celebrate it on August 11th. I am a Leo who is creative and outgoing. An ENFP-T personality.

I love to watch TV/movies, read, listen to music (singing and dancing included, but not public). I'm a foodie, although not a great cook. I also write and craft.

Backstory

Beginning my time at Hogwarts to learn about witchcraft and to continue the family wand business. I'm about as half-blood as many others here, though I suspect there to be more wizards and witches on my Muggle side. While I am an American, due to the recent political climate, my family thought it would be best to send me to study at Hogwarts for the time being.

It's said that a distant relative was corresponding with Johannes Jonker (an American wandmaker) from Britain and receiving wandmaking ingredients from him. Surprised at how well wandmaking was going, they set off to join America and learn under Johannes about the new wand materials. At some point she settled down with a No-Maj. This was not only dangerous in America at that time (Rappaport's Law) but still shunned in Europe. Most families you see in the Pure Blood Family books do have some Muggle/No-Maj connections that have been erased or ignored due to judgement at the time. And so the family fought against it over the Pond. She continued to live in America, create a new family, and made the wand I have now (as well as many others). I don't know much more than that, except that this wand doesn't backfire on me, but it doesn't make spellcasting easy for me either. Oh, and that it's possible over the heartbreak from the cut from her family, she legally changed her name to Jean (unsure original name) in a mock against the 'G' boys' names and vowed to keep her last name (unclear how). Since then, my family line has been through first sons who carry the name. Until me, who was named after her. Although she was also a Ravenclaw at her time at Hogwarts, I would like to think she would have also picked Pukwudgie if given the chance.
