Backstory

Name: Isabella Grace Sinclair

Isabella, nicknamed Izzy, isn't much of an ordinary girl. Ever since her mother took her to a muggle bookstore and Izzy picked up her first book, she has fallen head-over-heels in love with reading. She read every day, as much as she possibly could. This exasperated her parents, as her reading became quite obsessive on occasion. However, they took pride in knowing their daughter has been cultivating such a vivid mental landscape and pushed her towards academic excellence as she attended a muggle elementary school. 

Her teachers began describing her as unique, different, and entirely individual during mandatory parent-teacher meetings. They called her an anomaly and a breath of fresh air, one who lets her actions speak louder than her words. They placed her in gifted and talented, content with how she didn't let her skills get into her head. Izzy often spent her time laughing with the other students, engaging in both light-hearted conversations and spirited debates. However, one muggle teacher saw something more: An innate gift in writing that must be cultivated.

The summer after winning first place in a muggle writing competition, Izzy began experiencing strange events whenever she felt intense emotions. As she is an avid reader and a daydreamer, she instantly knew that something extraordinary, perhaps even magical, was happening to her. Her suspicions were confirmed when an official Hogwarts envelope arrived by owl at her bedroom window early the next morning. She figured she should keep this a secret from her parents first, not wanting to frighten them or force them into a world they wouldn't yet understand too soon. Less than ten minutes later, her mother came in with a twinkle in her eye, revealing a life-altering, dizzying statement: Izzy is a witch, and her mother is as well, making her a half-blood. Her father, supposedly oblivious to this conversation, simply slept on in his bedroom. Through a letter he sent weeks after the academic term at Hogwarts began, he had revealed that he and her mother knew about her magic the entire time. They had concealed this information, having wanted their child to live a life rooted in humility.

Izzy, her heart rapidly beating with excitement, instantly began researching, poring over anything she could find about the Wizarding World. The moment she read about Hogwart's Four Founders, she saw herself in Rowena Ravenclaw, as she constantly pursued understanding and valued wit and wisdom above all else. Her heart swelled with happiness: She'll finally be going to a place, a magical school... a place where she can belong at last. 

After emotional goodbyes to her parents, she eventually boarded the Hogwarts Express, watching the autumn leaves and lazily drift by. Not long after, she was sorted into Ravenclaw (but not without mentally discussing each of the other Houses with the Sorting Hat)! 

As of now, Izzy is continuing her magical education, reading as much as she can (habits do indeed die hard) in the hopes of one day discovering the magical career of her dreams.
