Backstory
Theo Mikaelson was born in secret, years after Hope, as a result of rare and ancient magic tied to Klaus’s bloodline. His existence was kept hidden from most of the supernatural world to protect him from enemies who feared the Mikaelson family. Like Hope, he was born with all three supernatural bloodlines—making him a Tribrid, a being thought to be impossible.
From birth, strange things happened around him. Animals reacted to his emotions, candles lit on their own, and mirrors cracked when he was angry. His mother, a powerful witch, knew he was special and began teaching him magic early so he wouldn’t lose control of his powers. Theo grew up moving from place to place, never staying long enough to make friends. Klaus loved him in his own way but kept his distance, afraid that his enemies and his own dark nature would hurt Theo. Hope visited when she could and became the person Theo admired most—proof that a Mikaelson could be powerful and still good.
As he got older, his werewolf side began to show through intense emotions, and his magic became stronger and harder to control. He also knew that one day, if he ever died, he would awaken his vampire side—something that both fascinated and terrified him.
