Backstory
My parents run a shop just a few paces away from Diagon Alley. It sells aesthetically 'witchy' items such as artwork and jewellery to Muggles, and genuine enchanted accessories for wizards and witches upon request. You'd think this would mean I'd know tons about magic before I even stepped foot into Hogwarts myself, but nope!
With my parents both being Muggle-born, they were adamant that I should be able to handle myself well in both the Muggle and wizarding worlds - and since I would be spending seven years at Hogwarts surrounded by magic, my parents decided to immerse me in the Muggle way of life before that. I can count the times they used magic in the house on one hand!
It wasn't necessarily a bad way to live - I'm definitely going to miss the shows on television when I get to Hogwarts - but I've been counting down the days until the term finally starts. If only time could run faster... I feel so impatient I could burst!
