Backstory
Laura Jane is a curious soul from a prominent family of witches and wizards in New Zealand. She grew up in Queenstown and attended a Muggle primary school for girls when she was seven, on her father's assumption that she was a Squib. However, on her ninth birthday, her parents were very relieved when Laura's magic finally manifested (despite the terrible mess of shattered teapots and ruined cakes it left in its wake). She too was relieved, for she was going to Hogwarts!
